Someone said that it doesn’t seem fair that players can discard cards when it isn’t their turn or they are being asked. When the cards get shuffled well, this usually isn’t a problem, but it can happen. Discarding on other people’s turn helps the game move faster, keeps the rules simple, and gives other players something to watch for. Plus, those who are more cutthroat can skip player turns by discarding three Pens to give themselves another turn.

If you prefer a lighter game, then only allow discarding on the player’s turn, if the person is being asked for cards, or when playing a pair of Innovators.

Phones can only be used when you ask for cards, so the first sentence of the card should read:

Instead of your normal request, discard 3 Phones to ask another player if they have specific cards without revealing those cards.

To clarify: You may not ask for more cards than you have remaining in your hand after you discard the Phones.

Tip: One of the only ways to get a pair of special cards from someone else is to use the Phones. Also, if you just checked someone’s hand, you can use the Phones to ask for a bunch of cards from it on your next turn … as long as you remember the cards correctly!

I created a new RPG with RPG Maker XP called Acsendence. Check it out!

Acsendence

You play as Jason, who shortly finds himself in heaven. You will travel between heaven and earth to find out why the leader of the angels is acting odd (or at least try to get home!).

When you extract the zip, you’ll see the game file is called Burning Swords. This was the original project name.

Have fun!
